July 17th 1976 - Tyrol Air Ambulance takes off for the first time. The aim was clear: to take sick or injured patients home quickly and safely by air. This has remained the company's principal objective to this day. Top-class medical staff assess care quality on site and decide on the appropriate means of transportation. Meanwhile, operational staff and pilots organise optimum transportation. Only state-of-the-art equipment which is certified for airborne is used.
More than 3,000 patients are taken home every year from all over the world. The chances of recovery are simply better in a familiar home environment.
